Since this our first “Azusa News” of 2024, we wish you a belated Happy New Year and hope all is well with you and your family.
Things are finally beginning to settle down here at Azusa. It has been almost a year and a half since we shut down our operations at our Clifton Park office. Our activities now include locations at 2 antique centers- Dater Cottage in Halfmoon and the Coxsackie Antique Center. Both locations have an abundance of philatelic material, including stamps, covers, and supplies. I am available to meet you at Dater Cottage by appointment if you are looking for something in particular.
In addition, we will be attending 4 stamps shows this year – This club show on April 21, the 2 day Northeast Postal History and Ephemera Show on July 27 & 28, the Great American Stamp Show in Hartford, Ct , August 15-18, and the October 20 Club show.
We are continuing our efforts to organize and price some of the vast amount of material that was accumulated during our 45 years of store operation. Some of the better sets and singles are illustrated in the newsletter, and we have included a list of lots and collections as well. Almost all of these lots are on album pages or stocksheets, and only stamps over $1.00 catalogue value are counted; anything less is included as part of the lot.
